This is popular Crab and Artichoke Dip that you see in many seafood restaurants, you can easily make at home. Makes a tasty crab appetizer for any occasion. If you're having a party you can easily double the batch. And if you want to make it (seem) healthier, too, just add a package of frozen spinach to it. Just make sure you thaw it out and drain the spinach, first. Or you can use about 1/2 a package of fresh spinach. It doesn't take away from the original crab and artichoke recipe, it seems to enhance it. Of course, I love spinach, so I would think that. But this is totally up to you. It's nice to always have options and spruce up the ordinary recipes now and then. If you want to get even more creative and colorful with this dish...add sliced black olives!

Enjoy!...

Ingredients:

  • 1-8 Ounce Package Cream Cheese-softened

  • 1/4 Cup-Milk

  • 1 Tablespoon-Mayonnaise

  • 3-5 Drops-Tabasco

  • 2 Tablespoons-Hot Chili Sauce

  • 2 Tablespoons-Green Onion-minced

  • 1/2 Teaspoon-Dry Mustard

  • 1/4 Teaspoon-Salt

  • 1 Cup-Dungeness Crab Meat or 2-7 1/2 Ounce cans of Crab Meat or 12 0z.-Imitation Crab Meat

  • 1-8 1/2 Ounce Can Artichokes-chopped

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Combine all ingredients, except for the crab meat and artichokes, well. Fold in the crab meat and artichokes and turn into a 8 inch greased or oil sprayed baking dish. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly.

Serve with warm bread, corn chips or your favortite crackers.

Makes about 8 servings, but if you're like me and want to party down with friends, you can easily double this batch like we did! You simply can't go wrong! If you have left overs, just put them in a smaller container and refrigerate and reheat in the microwave. It'll stay in the frig. for up to 3-5 days.

Enjoy this crab and artichoke dip recipe!
