Crab Meat Won Ton Recipe

You can make this crab meat won ton recipe up for serving right away. It makes for a delicious crab appetizer! It makes 60 won tons and can be made and then frozen to serve later as well.


  • 1/2 Pound-Crab Meat

  • 1/2 Teaspoon-Salt

  • 1 Tablespoon-Soy Sauce

  • 1 Tablespoon-Sherry

  • 5-Water Chestnuts-Finely Chopped

  • 1-Scallion-Finely Chopped

  • 1 Egg-Beaten

  • 2-Bok Choy Leaves (or Chinese Greens)-Chopped Finely

  • 60 Won ton's

  • 2-4 Cups Oil for Deep Frying



Combine crab meat, salt, soy sauce, water chestnuts, scallion, beaten egg and bok choy leaves and mix well. This is the filling for the crab meat won ton recipe.
Spoon 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wrapping.
Fold each corner to the center of each wrapping, gently pressing the edges together. Fold again in half lengthwise, fold back and bring the ends together.
Dab a bit of water on one corner, put two corners on over the other and press together. It "should" look like a nurses cap.
Heat oil in wok to 400 degrees.
Deep fry 10-12 won ton's at a time for about 3 minutes.
Drain and serve with Sweet and Sour Sauce or Teriyaki Sauce!

Makes 60 crab meat won tons.
