Wasabi Crab on Endive

This Wasabi Crab on Endive Recipe is such a tasty, fast, and easy dish to prepare. You can use it as a crab appetizer or lite lunch salad or starter salad before a Crab Festival. Either way, this crab salad with the spicy wasabi mayonnaise makes this simple crab salad dish sing!
Using this salad as suggested with endives, you can be sure that you are having a nutrious salad.
Belgian endives have narrow, curly and green outer leaves. They are also commmonly known in the US as chicory.
Endives are rich in vitamins and minerals such as vitamins A and K, are high in fiber and folate.
Not sure about wasabi? Wasabi is known as a Japanese horseradish. It is a member of the Brassicaceae family that includes
relatives of cabbage and mustard. It has a flavor likened to that of a hot mustard.
Put these two ingredients together and yes, they will make your tastebuds sing and dance!

Ingredients:


  • 16-lettuce, Belgian endive spears

  • 6 ounce-lump crab meat

  • 4 teaspoons-wasabi mayonnaise

  • sprig-cilantro, for garnish

  • lemon-cut into wedges, for garnish, or lime juice


Top each endive spear with 1/4 teaspoon mayonnaise and 3/8 ounce of the crab meat. Garnish with a sprig of cilantro and a squeeze of lemon or lime juice.
